As a special holiday treat I’ve included an informative and quick video about fishing “The Line” in Bristol Bay. I’ll let you decide and form you own opinions about the line, but essentially every fishing district in Bristol Bay has boundary lines where fishermen are not supposed to cross with their nets. But a fisherman will do anything to catch those swimming $$$.

When the fish are storming up to the river, the best place to be is have your net be in contact with the sockeye first. ‘The Line’ showcases various GPS boundary lines where fishermen duke it out when the salmon are running hard. It is every man, woman and potentially small child for themselves. Hope you enjoy!
