My biggest test in the skiff has come. It’s Sitka herring season. After our second opener, I have never been so challenged as a skiff woman as I was then. Maneuvering through such chaos was crazy to say the least.
The nature of competition can be intense. This is the herring fishing season and what is soon to be unveiled in the new TLC fishing series, “Hook Line & Sisters”. Let me give you some context into the world of herring fishing and my experience leading up to what you will see on the premier tonight.
The Real Alaska team is ecstatic to launch our own line of apparel – allowing people to proudly promote their unique connection to Alaska with hoodies and various t-shirts.

Sierra and I have never aimed to act as an online news source; and frankly, we’re glad someone did!! Our hope is to present authentic, first-hand Alaskan experiences to the best of our abilities. This is usually how you find a job when walking the docks. Someone gets fired, hurt or has an emergency and has to go home. Two weeks of sleep deprivation, cowboy fishing and I had $10,000 cash.
